Police in Texas say pastor was caught sharing sexually explicit photos of 9-year-old girls

A Texas pastor was caught distributing sexually explicit photos of girls between the ages of 9 and 12, Texas police and news agencies said.

Bruce Hollen was arrested May 8 and charged with possession of child pornography with intent to solicit, according to Montgomery County jail records.

According to court documents, some of the photos showed young girls engaging in sexual acts, KTRK reported.

The 63-year-old man has been relieved of his duties as senior pastor of Calvary Chapel in The Woodlands, the church said in a statement. Services are held on Sundays at a middle school, KIAH reported.

The statement said Hollen was fired because of the allegations made against him.

“He may not hold himself out as a leader of the Church in any capacity, nor may he speak on behalf of the Church in any capacity,” the statement said.

According to jail records, Hollen is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on $30,000 bail.

The Woodlands is located about 30 miles north of Houston.
