Man found dead after missing person report in New Canaan – NBC Connecticut

Police searching for a missing man found him dead in a wooded area in New Canaan early Tuesday morning.

According to police, New Canaan police were asked late Monday night to assist Stamford police in the missing person case of a Stamford man.

The man was last seen working on a house in New Canaan that is currently being renovated, police said.

Officers found the man dead in a wooded area. Police have not released the man’s identity or where in New Canaan he was found.

Police are investigating the death and have also contacted the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

The police said there was no danger to the public.
