Death investigations underway in Piper Glen area

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – A death is under investigation in the Piper Glen area Monday morning. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Headquarters said.

Police arrived in the area of Piper Glen Drive and Rea Road around 7 a.m.

The CMPD has not yet released any information about how the death occurred.

Officers were seen driving in and out of a wooded area just off the Interstate 7 ramps along Rea Road.

The northbound lanes of Rea Road are closed between Piper Glen Drive and I-485.
