Police officer stabbed in Kansas City, Kansas, suspect on the run

KANSAS CITY, Kansas – The manhunt is underway for the man who stabbed a police officer late Sunday night in Kansas City, Kansas.

According to police, the stabbing occurred around 9:30 p.m. Sunday evening near 47th and State Avenue.


According to police, the officer had just started his shift when a man approached him, pulled out a sharp object and began stabbing the officer.

The officer suffered two stab wounds and is expected to recover. The suspect was still at large on Monday morning.
