METRO ceases operations in front of Beryl

HOUSTON – METRO stops transport operations in front of Beryl.

The agency announced the changes being made due to the storm.

Sunday, July 7

  • METRORail’s last northbound Red Line trip from Fannin South begins at 10 p.m. The last southbound Northline trip begins at 11 p.m.

  • The last trips on the green and purple lines of the METRO start at 10 p.m.

  • The last trips of local buses and METRORapid services begin at 10 p.m.

  • METRO monitors routes throughout the night to ensure no passengers get stranded and everyone gets home safely.

Monday, July 8

  • Local transport and connections to METRORapid, METRORail and METROLift are suspended until 8 a.m.

  • All Park & ​​Ride services will be discontinued.

  • METRO HOV/HOT lanes will be closed.

  • RideStores will be closed.

“METRO is committed to the safety of our customers and employees. Teams will monitor conditions throughout the night and early morning hours to restore service as quickly as possible,” the agency said.
