A woman comes forward after saying she was groped American Airlines Flight.

“It was terrible,” book editor Gretchen Stelter tells Inside Edition.

Stelter says she flew home to Chicago after the holiday in MexicoShe was sitting at a window seat in the business area.

She says the passenger sitting next to her started making a torrent of vulgar comments.

“The flight attendants had to come over and ask if everything was OK. I said, ‘No,'” says Stelter.

Another passenger noticed what was going on and offered to switch seats. Stelter says she thought it was a good idea, but when she tried to climb over the drunk passenger and push her way out of her row, the situation escalated.

“I climbed over him and he groped me,” says Stelter. “He grabbed my butt with both hands.”

In a lawsuit, Stelter claims that the flight attendants took “no measures” to protect her.

The FBI says Sexual harassment on board aircraft is “a serious federal crime whose number is increasing.”

Last year, the agency investigated 96 cases of sexual harassment during flights.

Inside Edition reached out to American Airlines for comment but did not receive a response.
