Philadelphia police are investigating after a woman was reportedly shot in the face during an incident in northeast Philadelphia early Sunday.

According to police, the incident occurred around 12:46 a.m. Sunday on a property in the 4700 block of Longshore Avenue.

Police officials said a 28-year-old woman was shot in the face at the time and was taken to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle.

She was then taken by ambulance to a hospital in North Philadelphia.

The woman was taken to hospital, but police officials did not immediately provide any information on the woman’s condition after the incident.

Additionally, officials did not provide a motive for the incident and did not make any arrests. However, officials said the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
