Harvey Jones of Skiatook was killed in an accident near Hominy

A Skiatook man was killed Wednesday morning in a two-vehicle crash about 7 miles east of Hominy, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Harvey Jones, 72, was pronounced dead at the scene on Oklahoma 20 at Osage County Road 2535 after the accident occurred around 11:15 a.m. Troopers said Jones was not wearing a seatbelt.

The crash involved Jones’ 1997 Chevrolet pickup and a 2006 Kenworth tractor-trailer, the OHP reported. The truck driver was treated at the scene and released, police said.

How the crash occurred was under investigation later Wednesday.
