MPD: Woman killed in latest city homicide on Troy Highway

Montgomery police are investigating a fatal shooting that left a woman dead.

Lt. David Wise told Action 8 News that police and fire department paramedics rushed to a location in the 4000 block of Troy Highway around 5:11 p.m. Sunday where a person had been shot.

When they arrived, they found an adult female with a fatal gunshot wound. The unidentified victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lt. Wise says another adult female was taken into custody and charges are pending.
