Man arrested for removing ankle bracelet, BCSO says

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A man wanted by the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office for removing his ankle monitor is now in custody.

BCSO confirmed the arrest of Richard Lopez on Wednesday morning. Further information was not immediately available.

He was wanted on a number of charges, including attempted sexual abuse and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, the BCSO said in a May 7 Facebook post.

All of the charges for which Lopez was wanted were the result of an investigation, the post said.

BCSO said Lopez likely used “various aliases” but did not elaborate.
