Police use ruse to arrest wanted Lancaster County man

QUARRYVILLE, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County man was arrested after police used a “ruse” to arrest him for allegedly failing to appear in court and possessing fake vehicle inspection stickers.

Quarryville Borough Police said Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg requested assistance in locating Dustin Trimble on June 15. Police said Trimble was wanted by police because he failed to appear in court on sticker fraud charges.

After learning that Trimble had moved from his Quarryville address, police say they were able to contact him and “tricked” him into coming to the police station. Police did not, however, provide any details about what they did to get Trimble to come to the police station.

When Trimble arrived, police were able to arrest him and take him to the Lancaster County Jail to await extradition to Franklin County.
