Driver flees accident and dies in second crash in Arlington: Police

ARLINGTON – A driver fleeing an accident died Friday when he was thrown from his car in a second crash, police said.

According to Arlington Police, police responded to the fatal hit-and-run crash at Division Street and Davis Drive just before 7 p.m. The crash initially occurred at the intersection of Division Street and Cooper Street.

“It is unclear what struck the driver and what caused him to be ejected from the vehicle, but it occurred after he collided with another car near Davis,” Arlington police said.

All lanes on Division Street between Davis and Fielder were closed “until they are reopened for safe travel,” police said.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
