Heat continues on Father’s Day weekend

PHOENIX (AZFamily) – Our morning started warm again with lows around 30 degrees, while we usually have lows around 25.5 degrees at this time of year.

Heat warnings remain in effect across the valley this afternoon, with highs of 43 degrees. The low pressure system that brought clouds and temperatures of 42 degrees yesterday will move east of us, and plenty of sunshine is expected for the afternoon.

First Alert Weather Days will continue throughout the weekend, with highs around 46 degrees on Saturday.

Father’s Day is expected to have highs of 111. It looks like Father’s Day will be spent poolside or hanging out in the air conditioning here in Arizona.

Next week, a low pressure system will pass to the north of us, bringing with it a drop in temperatures. Maximum temperatures will be below 40 degrees from Monday to Wednesday.

Have fun and happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
