Optimus Prime arrested in Austin, Texas

“Sometimes even the wisest man or machine can make a mistake,” said Optimus Prime in The Transformers.

There’s a man in Texas who knows this only too well.

Last week, police officers arrested a man called the Autobot Leader for allegedly stealing a vehicle.

An Austin Police affidavit states that 37-year-old Optimus Prime Blakely is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

Optimus was stopped by police on June 4 after he was observed driving a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

Optimus Prime was disguised as a robot and hid in a red and blue semi-trailer truck. There was no description of the vehicle stopped by Austin police.

Optimus was taken to the Travis County Jail and was reportedly being held on $8,000 bail.
