LINCOLN, Nebraska (KLKN) – A Lincoln woman is accused of sexually abusing her teenage son about two dozen times.

A 36-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree sexual abuse of a child, incest and child abuse.

The case began on May 31, according to court records, when police conducted a welfare check at her home.

An affidavit states that the 14-year-old boy told police that he had been abused several times in the past two months.

According to court documents, he was removed from the home while the investigation was ongoing.

At his next interview, the boy estimated that he had been sexually abused 25 or more times.

The woman’s bail was set at $750,000. She must pay 10% of that, or $75,000, to get out of jail.

Her next court date is scheduled for July 11.
