Double shooting in Bedford under investigation, suspect in custody, prosecutor says

Two people were shot in Bedford on Thursday morning and police have arrested someone in connection with the incident, a Middlesex District Attorney’s Office spokesman confirmed to MassLive.

The spokesman said a double murder in the city was being investigated and that the suspect was in police custody. No further information was immediately given.

A Bedford Police spokesman confirmed the incident occurred on Washington Street around 9am on Thursday morning.

No further information was available, including on the condition of the people shot or the identity of the person arrested.
