Motorcyclist dies in collision with tree

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A motorcyclist was killed in an accident in the North Clairemont neighborhood on Wednesday, authorities said.

The collision occurred around 12:38 p.m. in the 4800 block of Clairemont Mesa Blvd., San Diego police said in a news release.

According to authorities, a 23-year-old woman was riding a 2023 Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard when the motorcyclist drifted left, struck the median, lost control and struck a tree.

The victim was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
