Sleeping 10-year-old girl shot dead in Milwaukee home

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) — A 10-year-old girl who loved to draw is the youngest victim of a shooting in Milwaukee.

According to our partner company in Milwaukee, the family said the little girl was home and sleeping in her bed.

Then it was said that a shot was fired from the upper floor.

It is believed that a relative accidentally fired a bullet that went through the floor and hit the girl who was lying in bed.

This situation caught the attention of the Milwaukee city government.

“The investigation is ongoing, so all I can say is that our thoughts, prayers and hearts are with them during what I know as a father is an unimaginable time,” said Scott Spiker, Milwaukee City Alder.

According to the coroner’s office, this is the eighth child killed by gunfire in Milwaukee this year.

No arrests were made.
