Chiefs News: Rashee Rice is being investigated for assault in a nightclub

Accordingly, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is being investigated for a new incident WFAA in Dallas. Rice allegedly attacked a photographer early Monday morning at 609 N. Harwood Street, the address of Lit Kitchen.

As is now well known, Rice had already faced eight charges stemming from his connection to a six-vehicle crash, also in Dallas, in late March. Charges in this incident ranged from collision causing bodily harm to aggravated assault.

The 24-year-old receiver played high school football in North Richland Hills, Texas, before committing to SMU to play college football. The Chiefs drafted Rice in the second round of 2023 NFL Draft.

After the first incident, the Chiefs said they would respond accordingly once they had all the facts. At the start of Kansas City’s offseason program in mid-April, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid indicated that the club was still gathering information.

“As long as he learned from it, that’s the important part of it,” Reid said. “We’ll take it from there and see what happens. But right now we’re just collecting everything and trying to make sure we cover all the bases there.”
