April Lampros has filed a new lawsuit against rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs. The defendant claimed to have had “four terrifying sexual encounters” from the mid-1990s to the early 2000s.

The lawsuit accuses Mr. Combs of assault, battery, sexual battery, negligent infliction of emotional distress and gender-based violence.

BBC News has contacted Mr Combs for comment.

The documents also contain allegations that the “plaintiff has suffered and continues to suffer harm, including physical injury, severe emotional distress, humiliation, fear and other consequential damages, for which she is entitled to monetary compensation and other damages.”

Ms. Lampros was an intern at Arista Records, and the documents say the company was “negligent in determining that Mr. Combs was fit for a management position… and/or that Mr. Combs would not commit sexual assault; and/or that Mr. Combs would not injure others.”

Bad Boy Records, Arista Records and Sony Entertainment are named as defendants and BBC News has contacted them all for comment.

The documents also contain allegations that Ms. Lampros was told approximately two years ago that “a video of her and Sean Combs having sex” had been recorded by him “without her knowledge.”

It was said that he had “shown it to several people”.

“I am recovering from my past”

The star, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, said domestic violence “made me someone I never thought I would become.”

Video of the 2016 attack was released by CNN last week. Ms Ventura had claimed in a court case last year that her ex-boyfriend and producer had attacked her.

The rapper apologized over the weekend, commenting in an Instagram video: “I was disgusted when I did it. I’m disgusted now.”

Ms Ventura said: “Domestic violence is THE problem. It has made me into someone I never thought I would become. Thanks to hard work, I am better today, but I will still have to recover from my past.”

Search of Combs’ houses

Earlier this week, a model accused Combs of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2003, the latest in a series of allegations against the rapper and businessman.

Crystal McKinney said in a lawsuit that Mr. Combs invited her to his New York studio and pumped her full of alcohol and marijuana until she was drunk.

BBC News asked representatives for Mr Combs for comment at the time.

Last month, federal authorities raided his homes in Los Angeles and Miami, Florida, as part of a human trafficking investigation.
