Adult woman arrested in Westminster for possession of controlled dangerous substances with intent to distribute

“Sheriff’s Office Arrests Adult Female for Possession of CDS with Intent to Resell.”

On May 21, 2024, at approximately 12:43 p.m., members of the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Pro Active Community Enforcement (PACE) team were in the area of ​​Sullivan Ave and Maryland Route 140, Westminster, Maryland, conducting a lawful traffic stop Chevrolet Malibu. The vehicle was driven by Cristen Joanne Connors, a 42-year-old woman with an address in Westminster. Connors did not have a valid driver’s license.

The Sheriff’s canine unit searched the vehicle for possible CDS cases and returned a positive result. During the subsequent search of the vehicle, 18 gel capsules weighing 10.8 grams of suspected fentanyl, 13 baggies weighing 10.2 grams of suspected crack cocaine, and 27.5 pink, round pills suspected to be amphetamines were seized and Connors was arrested.

Connors was taken to central booking and charged with:

  • 2 charges of CDS possession with intent to distribute (narcotics)
  • 3 charges of CDS possession, not cannabis
  • 1 traffic offence due to violation of driving licence

(All individuals are presumed innocent of any pending charges until proven guilty in court.)

As of May 22, 2024, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Connors remained in custody at the Carroll County Detention Center.
