Couple hospitalized after emergency on road to Glasgow

Two men were taken to hospital following an emergency on a busy road in Glasgow.

Police said they were called to a car accident on Prospecthill Road in the Southside on Tuesday, May 21.

Officers were alerted to the incident shortly after 8:30 p.m.

999 emergency services then rushed to the scene of the accident, where two men, both 20 years old, were taken to hospital.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.

We previously reported that Glasgow City Council said the road between Aikenhead Road and Newhouse Road was closed in both directions during the accident.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At around 8.35pm on Tuesday 21 May 2024 we were called to a single vehicle accident on Prospecthill Road in Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended the scene and two men, both 20 years old, were taken to hospital as a precaution.

“An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances.”
