Two dead, one vehicle involved in Kern River Canyon accident

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) – A motorcycle and a vehicle were involved in a fatal highway crash in the Kern River Canyon Sunday afternoon.

On May 12, two people were killed in a motorcycle-vehicle accident in the Kern River Canyon. According to CHP’s traffic information page, the collision occurred just after 4 p.m.


Firefighters had to penetrate about 50 feet (15 meters) into the canyon near mile markers 23 and 24.

The Kern County Coroner’s Office will provide additional information once the investigation is complete.
