A spokesman for the NAFD said: “We can confirm that the NAFD has received a number of complaints about A. Milne, which have been reviewed by our Professional Standards Committee.”

“The company has apparently stopped correspondence with us, however they have been formally informed that they will be reviewed by the NAFD Disciplinary Committee at a meeting in May where the ultimate sanction available to us is expulsion from membership .”

“As per the mandate of the committee, we do not publicly disclose the details of the complaints lodged.

“As a business association, we have no legal authority and regulate purely by consensus, so expulsion from membership is the harshest punishment available to us.”
