82-year-old struck and killed by car in Logan County

BOONEVILLE, Ark. – A Booneville man was struck and killed by a vehicle in April, according to a new report.

The report released by the Department of Public Safety (DPS) states that 82-year-old William Carpenter was struck by a vehicle on April 6 at approximately 8:16 p.m

Carpenter was struck near 42 W Main St.

According to the report, the vehicle was traveling eastbound when Carpenter attempted to cross the street and was struck.

Arkansas State Police investigated the crash and said conditions were clear and dry.
