East Millinocket Police are executing search warrants as part of an ongoing theft investigation

EAST MILLINOCKET – Two search warrants were executed on May 9 by the Lincoln Police Department with the assistance of the East Millinocket Police Department as part of an investigation into alleged theft by Harold “Chip” Lamson.

The first warrant was issued at 7 Lee Road in Lincoln and the second was at 11 Tamarack Street in Millinocket.

The searches are related to an ongoing criminal investigation into Lamson, who is being investigated for theft by misappropriation of property, a violation of the Maine Penal Code.

According to authorities, Lamson, who is associated with Lamson’s Funeral Home, is suspected of embezzling funds from funeral homes.

Multiple victims have come forward, and law enforcement believes additional people may be affected by the alleged misconduct.
