PARKERSBURG — The Boys & Girls Club of Parkersburg recently partnered with Buffalo Wild Wings to offer the Mid-Ohio Valley the chance to “eat wings, raise money.”

Every second Monday and Wednesday of the month, 15% of participating customers’ bills will be donated to the club, with the first event set for May 13-15.

“It’s a very good cause and we want to help.” » said B-Dubs general manager Jason Eberth. “(The Boys and Girls Club) gives kids a place to go and things to do. If they have somewhere to go, it keeps them out of trouble.

Eberth is also donating lunch for the next Friendraiser event, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, May 23. Lawyers are welcome to tour the club and learn about upcoming projects, programming and updates.

The Parkersburg Club is celebrating its 60th anniversary and the organization aims to raise funds to continue and expand its programming.

Last year, the club provided 44,000 meals and snacks and more than 650 children participated in programs on topics such as STEM, book clubs and money matters. Several sporting activities are also offered at the club, including swimming in an Olympic-sized pool, a rock wall, and a full gym with several basketball hoops.

“These are the kinds of things we want to help with,” said House Manager Jillian Zimmerman.

The club welcomes an average of more than 120 children per day and more than 300 are enrolled in summer camp, which begins next month.

Customers simply mention the Boys & Girls Club fundraiser and 15% of their bill will automatically be donated to the organization.

“Buffalo Wild Wings has been a national partner of the Boys & Girls Club for years, and we are excited to team up with our local B-Dubs here at PKB,” » said CEO Lynn Reins. “We’re excited to enhance our sports programming and all the amazing things the 300 kids enrolled in BGCP Summer Camp will do, and we can’t wait to eat some delicious wings while doing it!” We appreciate Jason and the entire staff at Buffalo Wild Wings.
