Memorial for 6-year-old girl who died in fatal car crash in Coral Springs – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

CORAL SPRINGS, FL. (WSVN) – It is with a heavy heart that loved ones honor the death of a six-year-old who died in a fatal car accident.

Friday night, 7News cameras captured a memorial created by Harlow Tran’s family and friends at the site where she lost her life. The great-grandmother who was driving Harlow that tragic night was present.

Just a week before the crash, Harlow had one of the best times of her life when she went to Disney World to make her dream of becoming a princess come true.

Now balloons of her favorite Disney princesses are a reminder of the life that was unjustly taken from her.

“She loved dancing, she loved Disney, she loved everything a 6-year-old little girl would love,” a supporter said.

According to Coral Springs police, the driver was trying to elude officers when he crashed into the family’s Chevy Traverse, which was driven by Harlow’s great-grandmother. Per department policy, the officer did not pursue the speeding car.

That driver was identified as 26-year-old Chevron Graham. He is charged with homicide, reckless driving and driving with a revoked license.

Police said Harlow was sitting in her car seat when the car split in half.

“She was still attached to the car seat, which was still attached to the seat, and the seat flew out. The whole seat. I don’t even want to think about it. I don’t want to think, I just hope she’s completely passed out, I don’t want to think about what she might have been through. If she was scared, that’s terrible,” Amanda said.

Harlow’s father works for the TSA and many came to support the family.

“I remember her birth,” Nancy Medeiros said. “We can’t even begin to imagine his pain.”

“She was the happiest little girl,” said a family supporter. “She’s just the most bubbly person. Honestly, she was full of joy.”

“This is beyond comprehension that anyone can imagine. I don’t know how you recover from something like this,” said a family supporter.

Friends hope this meeting can, if not ease the pain, at least let Harlow’s parents know she is not forgotten.

“I just want to be able to take it down a little bit. “I just want to be able to take away a little bit of his pain,” Medeiros said. “But I know I can’t. I can tell him I love him and I’m sorry, but it doesn’t ease his pain.”
