ATCEMS: One dead after car-pedestrian accident

AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person was killed in a car-pedestrian crash in downtown Austin Tuesday night, Austin-Travis County EMS said on social media.

At around 9:45 p.m., paramedics and Austin Fire Department responded to the accident after a person was reported to have been struck by a car.

Paramedics said one person was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and expect traffic disruptions.
