Toddler killed in accident in Gordon County

A 19-month-old child was killed in an accident on private property on Pittman Road in Ranger Sunday morning.

According to the Georgia State Patrol:

The driver of a Dodge Durango drove away after unhitching a trailer and hit the little boy.

The driver called emergency services and the toddler was taken to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
