Forney man sentenced to 120 years in prison after sexually abusing toddler

According to court documents, 40-year-old Leslie Alt admitted to secretly using hidden cameras to record sexually explicit videos of two prepubescent girls.

FORNEY, Texas – A Forney man who was filmed sexually abusing a toddler and admitted to using hidden cameras to record explicit videos of two prepubescent girls was sentenced Thursday to 120 years in prison, federal officials said.

Leslie Michael Alt, 40, was indicted in September 2022 and pleaded guilty in September 2023 to two counts of production of child pornography and three counts of transportation of child pornography. He was sentenced to 1,440 months (120 years) in prison by U.S. District Judge Ada Brown on Thursday.

According to court documents, Alt admitted to secretly recording sexually explicit videos of two prepubescent girls using hidden cameras.

Prosecutors said explicit videos were found on a computer seized from Alt’s home in August 2022.

During a subsequent search of Alt’s home, an FBI electronic sniffer dog alerted investigators to a safe in Alt’s closet, officials said. The safe was open and appeared to be empty, but agents found SD cards and a hidden camera when they removed the safe’s carpeting, a news release said.

Agents found videos on one of the SD cards showing Alt sexually abusing a toddler, officials said.

The Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Division and the FBI Dallas Field Office conducted the investigation with assistance from the Grand Prairie Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit.
