WestRock Company factory in Yakima catches fire, cause under investigation | News

YAKIMA, Washington – A fire started at the WestRock Company factory in Yakima on Wednesday, causing damage to the building.

Yakima Assistant Fire Chief DJ Goldsmith said the fire was reported at 6:30 p.m. and extinguished within 15 to 20 minutes.

The fire reportedly entered the roof area of ​​the factory and remained there without damaging other buildings.

No one was injured in the fire, which is currently being investigated by the Yakima Fire Department.

Longfibre Road was closed from East Washington Avenue to West Valley Mall Boulevard, but has since reopened.
