39-year-old Pembroke Pines man charged with sexually abusing boy

PEMBROKE PINES, Florida. – Police announced Thursday the arrest of a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a boy in Pembroke Pines last month.

According to Pembroke Pines police, 39-year-old Saul Alfonso Silva Valecillos is accused of sexual abuse of a minor, solicitation of sexual abuse on the Internet and possession of child pornography, among other charges.

Authorities said they received a call on June 30 from a home near the 15,000 block of Southwest 12th Street about a boy being sexually assaulted.

The investigation revealed that the boy had attended a party at Silva Valecillo’s house. According to investigators, he “drank alcohol and went to a bedroom to sleep off the effects of the alcohol.”

Shortly afterwards, according to investigators, Silva Valecillos entered the bedroom and “performed oral sex on the victim without his consent.”

Police said that after realizing what was happening, the victim pushed Silva Valecillos out of the way and fled the house.

After the victim reported the incident to his parents, they contacted the police.

After further investigating the incident, investigators determined that Silva Valecillos had contacted the victim via cell phone and asked for “sexually explicit photographs” of him.

According to police, Silva Valecillos drove to a shopping center where he presumably wanted to meet the boy, but was taken into police custody.

“Investigators have found no evidence that Silva Valecillos had any further inappropriate contact with children,” detectives wrote in a press release on Thursday.

Prison records show he has been held without bail at the Paul Rein Detention Center since Thursday.

However, if a parent or guardian believes their child may have encountered Silva Valecillos, they are strongly encouraged to contact Lead Investigator Ralph Rienzo of the Special Victims Unit at [email protected] or by phone at 954-743-1616.
