A Leavittsburg man who forced a car full of teenagers off a Trumbull County road last year has pleaded guilty to one count of child pornography.

James Harper, 44, pleaded guilty to two counts of distributing material harmful to minors and one count of incitement to obscenity.

According to the Trumbull County District Attorney’s Office, the victims were a minor boy and a minor woman, both under the age of 14.

Prosecutors believe that pornography was downloaded onto Harper’s electronic devices during the investigation by Warren Township Police and Trumbull County Child Protective Services.

At the sentencing, Harper will be declared a class one sex offender and will have to register with the sheriff’s office once a year for the next 15 years.

If Harper’s face looks familiar, chances are he’s been in the news before.

21 News reported last summer that Harper was charged with assault after he forced a car full of teenagers off a road in Warren Township, causing $2,300 in damage to their car, according to police.

Harper was found guilty of a misdemeanor and sentenced to 30 days in jail for the incident.
