Remnants of tropical system Hurricane Beryl head toward western New York

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Tropical moisture is moving toward western New York state with periods of very heavy rain possible later Tuesday night and potentially lasting through Wednesday night.

Tropical system Beryl is bringing heavy rain to parts of Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Illinois and Indiana Monday night. The remnants of Beryl will continue to move northeast and are expected to be over the Ohio River Valley Tuesday, with tropical moisture and periods of heavy rain expected primarily over western New York Wednesday.

Parts of western New York State could receive 1 to 2 inches of rain depending on the track of the remnants of the tropical system. Stay tuned.

A few lingering showers are possible Thursday morning before the rain and clouds clear and leave our region under sunny skies to end the day.
