According to police, motorcyclist died in collision with SUV

ORANGE COUNTY, Florida. – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist was killed in an accident with an SUV in Orlando on Saturday evening.

According to police, the accident occurred around 7:05 p.m. at the intersection of North Hiawassee Road and Burroughs Drive.

According to a preliminary accident report, a Toyota Highlander was traveling west on Burroughs Drive approaching the intersection with North Hiawassee Road.

At the same time, a KTM motorcycle was traveling north on North Hiawassee Road, approaching Burroughs Drive in the outside lane.

According to police, the SUV attempted to turn left and veered directly into the path of the motorcycle. As a result, the front of the motorcycle struck the left side of the SUV.

According to the report, the motorcyclist’s death was confirmed at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the SUV, a 42-year-old woman from Orlando, was not injured, police said.

Both directions of Hiawassee Road are currently closed while FHP investigates the accident.
