Police search for suspect who robbed couple at gunpoint in Sunny Isles Beach condo garage

SUNNY ISLES BEACH, Florida. – Police are searching for a suspect behind an armed robbery that was caught on video.

It happened Tuesday night in a parking garage in the 17500 block of Collins Avenue in Sunny Isles.

Local 10 News had exclusive video of the robbery.

A couple is seen getting out of their Bentley as an armed attacker approaches them.

In the video, the suspect points a gun directly at the woman while grabbing her bag and pulling her toward him.

The suspect then targets the man and appears to strike the couple at least twice with his weapon.

A source confirmed to Local 10 News that the crook stole the man’s Rolex watch.

Sunny Isles Beach police said the couple was followed by the suspect after eating out in a neighboring town.

A source confirmed that the couple were at Houston’s restaurant in North Miami Beach, about an eight-minute drive from their home.

The source added that it was likely a crime of opportunity and not related to other Rolex thefts.

The police are actively searching for the suspect.
