Woman killed in car crash in Elliott County

ELLIOTT COUNTY, KY (WOWK) – A woman has died after a car crash in Elliot County.

According to Kentucky State Police, the accident occurred Tuesday on KY 504. Officials say only one vehicle was involved.

According to Kentucky State Police, the vehicle, a Chevy Tahoe, was traveling westbound when the driver lost control and struck an embankment. The vehicle then partially rolled onto its side.

According to KSP, the driver, identified as Heather McClurg, 36, of Olive Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation by KSP. Elliott County Coroner Mark Lewis’ office and Elliott County Fire and EMS also arrived at the scene.
