Video shows New York banker attacked twice by LGBTQ mob before retaliating

Full footage of NYC banker incident released after Pride attack

New York, NY — Jonathan Kaye, a New York City banker who rose to prominence last month in a viral incident, has turned himself in to authorities on charges of second- and third-degree assault.

The incident, which first circulated as a short clip showing Kaye knocking down a person in Brooklyn, did not reveal the full context. Newly released footage shows that a group of pro-Palestinian LGBTQ people taunted Kaye and threw liquid at her before the altercation.

Kaye was then hit in the face with a bottle, causing him to charge at the person and knock him to the ground.

Following the incident, Kaye resigned from his position at investment bank Moelis & Co.
