A 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon following an incident at a holiday park on the Isle of Wight.

Police said they had responded to reports of a breach of public order.

A boy from Bedford was arrested on suspicion of carrying an offensive weapon in a public place.

He was released pending investigation, officials said.

Meanwhile, up to 150 bikers were on site yesterday evening, Thorness employees said.

Workers told the County Press there had been no disruption, but the bikers refused to move and had completely blocked Thorness Lane earlier in the day.

One of the bikers said that a queue had formed because they could not enter the area and that blocking the road was not intentional.

Thorness staff said the bikers tried to book as individuals but were forced to book as a group.

Police and bikers left the scene shortly after 9 p.m.

The County Press has contacted Parkdean Resorts, the site’s operator, for comment.
