Woman raped in serious burglary near Wandsworth Common

Detectives are investigating a rape during an aggravated burglary in south London in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police have launched an appeal for information in connection with the incident on Routh Road in Wandsworth and said the victim, a woman in her twenties, is being cared for by specialist officers.

Officers are appealing for anyone who noticed a person behaving suspiciously in the area of ​​nearby Wandsworth Common and Routh Road between 5am and 8am this morning to come forward.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said no arrests had been made and investigations into the circumstances were ongoing.
