Possibly armed man reported in Swanton after fleeing police on Sunday afternoon

Vermont State Police are asking Franklin County neighbors to be on the lookout for Nicholas Hale, 26, of St. Albans

Vermont State Police are asking neighbors in Swanton to be on the lookout for a man who may be armed. According to VSP, officers were called to Elm Street around 12:30 p.m. Sunday for a domestic assault. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Nicholas Hale of St. Albans, fled from police. Hale is charged with aggravated domestic violence, false imprisonment and grand larceny. According to VSP, Hale was wearing jeans and a gray sweatshirt. Because Hale may be armed, officers are urging anyone who sees him not to approach him. Instead, call Vermont State Police St. Albans Barracks: 802-524-5993 ext. 3.
