2 dead in accident near Route 5 in Charles City County

CHARLES COUNTY COUNTY, Va. – At least two people were killed in a car crash near Route 5 in Charles City County Sunday evening.

Sources confirmed to Jon Burkett that the driver and a passenger died at the scene after their car went over an embankment on Tomahund Drive near the John Tyler Memorial Highway.

According to these sources, another passenger was flown by rescue helicopter to a nearby hospital.

According to sources, there were apparently several children in the car.
