Gordon Ramsay is ‘lucky’ to be alive after horrific bicycle accident

“It really shook me up,” Ramsay recalled of what happened to him during a drive through Connecticut while showing off the bruise on his stomach. “Honestly, I’m glad to be here. The incredible trauma surgeons, doctors, nurses and hospital that took care of me this week have been amazing. But honestly, you have to wear a helmet. I don’t care how short the ride is. I don’t care that those helmets cost money. But they are essential. Even with the kids, on a short ride, you have to wear a helmet.”

“Now I am happy to be standing here. I am in pain,” said the Kitchen nightmares Star stressed: “It’s been a brutal week. And I’m getting through it somehow. But I can’t tell you how important it is to wear a helmet.”
