A man arrested after Katie Price was injured in an alleged attack has been released on bail.

The former glamour model was taken to hospital in Little Canfield, Essex, with a facial injury early Monday morning.

An Essex Police spokesman said officers were called to the scene by the emergency services and a man was arrested “a short time later” on suspicion of assault.

A police spokesman said on Tuesday: “A 32-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of assault, theft, coercion and control has been released on bail until September 20.”

The 43-year-old star was reportedly released from hospital on Monday.

In a statement to The Sun newspaper, the mother of five said: “I have a big bruise, my face is all swollen and I have gone to hospital.

“I’m still in a daze.

“I am devastated.

“I told the police that I was attacked and I am shocked that this happened.”

It was a difficult two years for Mrs Price, who filed for bankruptcy in 2019.

Last year, she told a hearing at a specialist insolvency and company court in London that she had “lost everything” and suffered a “severe breakdown” in 2019, after which she spent five weeks in the priory.

Mrs Price, formerly known as Jordan, was once said to have a fortune of over £40 million.
