Columbus police are asking witnesses for information about the April shooting that left a woman injured

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – Police are now asking witnesses to a shooting in April to come forward.

Police responded to the scene on Warm Springs Road near E. Lindsey Drive on April 20 and saw a black Nissan Altima on the road with a female victim inside who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

After investigating, officials believe the shooting likely began on I-185 north near the Manchester Expressway exit.
