The ‘rapist’ truck driver is nowhere to be found!

This came to light after her mother registered her for a traditional competition during the school holidays in March 2024.

The case against a truck driver accused of raping his two daughters was further delayed after he failed to appear in court.

The hearing scheduled to decide the bail application at the Pretoria North Magistrate’s Court has been postponed up to eight times.

The father is accused of raping his biological daughters, aged 10 and 22, including abusing minors.

Prosecutor Khangweleni Mudavhi informed the court of the defendant’s absence, which surprised both the prosecution and the defense.

The defense attorney, Attorney Shela, knew nothing about his client’s whereabouts.

After a brief break for investigation, Mudavhi reported and attributed the absence to a mistake in the prison administration.

“The defendant is not here due to an administrative error in the prison that is beyond his control,” he said, requesting a delay until the following Friday, June 7.

Attorney Shela agreed to the new date and asked that the case be given priority in the day’s planning.

Judge Swart confirmed the rescheduling, making this case the first of the day.

“This case will be remanded to this very court on Friday 7 June, where the bail application will first be decided,” said Judge Swart.

Despite the delays, the defendant’s wife expressed her unwavering confidence in the justice system.

“There will be no delay that will harm justice for my daughter,” she said.
