Details of Cambria County skull examination to be released Tuesday | News

JOHNSTOWN, Pennsylvania – Officials plan to release new details Tuesday about an investigation sparked by the discovery of a human skull last month on the Little Conemaugh River.

Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said a news conference to discuss the case is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. Lees said he and Cambria County District Attorney Gregory Neugebauer will both speak to the media.

Further details on the investigation into the death were not available Monday, Lees said.

A forensic anthropologist and a forensic dentist assisted in the case after the skull was found on the evening of May 16 along the Little Conemaugh River in a remote area of Conemaugh Township in Cambria County.

A man fishing on the river discovered the skull and reported it, Lees said at the time.
