Police believe teenagers set fire to a car in Antioch

ANTIOCH, Tennessee (WSMV) – Police believe a group of up to seven teenagers intentionally set fire to a Hyundai in Antioch on Friday.

The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m. on Hays Ridge Lane. According to police, a maintenance technician in the area observed seven juveniles – two of the seven wearing black masks – running from the scene. The vehicle was engulfed in flames, police said.

It is believed that the youths smashed the windows of the vehicle and set it on fire for unknown reasons.

The children ran away from the scene of the accident and pulled on the door handles of other vehicles in the area until they finally escaped.

This incident is under investigation. There are no suspects in custody.
