Minnesotan arrested for drunk driving and marijuana | News

ALTON – A 31-year-old woman from Holdingford, Minnesota, was arrested near Alton around 9:40 p.m. on Thursday, May 16. She was charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol, one count of possession of a controlled substance – marijuana, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and endangering a child.

Sarah Anne Messenbrink’s arrest occurred after a southbound 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix was stopped on Highway 60 near Alton, according to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the accident report, Messenbrink admitted to smoking marijuana before driving and to having marijuana, drug paraphernalia and non-prescription drugs on his person.

She failed the sobriety tests.

Her 11-year-old son was a passenger in the vehicle.
